We get to the root.

Too often, kids are forced to fit into the boxes of society in a classroom, developmental chart, or standard assessment. We believe that the world should fit the child instead!

Our root-cause approach honors every part of your child’s story (instead of “fixing” a problem) so we understand why it’s happening in the first place.

Our approach

We treat kids with anxiety, depression, sensory and eating challenges, trauma and transition, and an array of behavioral issues.

But before we address the symptoms, we get to know the child.

We connect with you

You know your child best! Before we meet with your child, we want to hear what’s worked and what hasn’t. This allows us to truly hear and understand your child — and sets you up to be a sturdy, regulated parent.

We connect with your child

After we meet with you, we meet with your child. The goal of this time is to make them feel comfortable and allow us to adapt the strategies to meet their personality and specific needs.

We connect to the root cause

We provide various modalities based on the kids’ need — looking at everything from food to tools and more. This includes play therapy, art therapy, or even tossing a basketball.

But the groundwork for our unique approach to therapy started when Kendra was a young girl. As the middle child, her natural tendency was to bottle up emotions. This led to chronic stomach aches, an IBS diagnosis, and a lack of self-confidence. She knows now that her body was communicating on behalf of her nervous system. She just needed a translator!

This is why Child Therapy Center exists: to listen to what our kids and their bodies are telling us and translate it so they can thrive. Just as they are.

Our team

We prioritize mental health from every angle.

Because we can’t pour from an empty cup, we prioritize well-rested, supported therapists who are consistently trained on the latest in child development. We all have the tools to heal and thrive.

Our story

About our founder

As a therapist, Kendra always had a passion for helping kids thrive. When her private practice was at capacity, she wanted to find a way to help even more kids — but knew she couldn't do it on her own.

Seeing a huge need to support families, she created a child therapy center that would serve as a trusted leader in the field of mental health, specifically for children.
